Screenplay finished

Just a few days ago our team finished the screenplay to Veil of Corruption II. It was a hard piece of work, at least we wrote 87 pages of script. At the moment the translation from the German version to the English one is in progress. This may also take us a few weeks, but we already started the voice recordings for the German version. We have about 30 different roles with voice acting content, so it will be a lot of work.

Yes you're right, this time we plan to make both English and German voice over versions.

In the meanwhile I started recording the intro and at the moment nearly 6 minutes of the movie were already done. Not much considering the fact that the whole movie will be 90+ minutes.

Keep an eye on this page to be always up-to-date on the progress of Veil of Corruption II.

Some advertisement - Machinima Blog

Well some short news and advertisement for my other projects. In February 2009 Fal Bulon and I started a machinima blog on www.worldofwar.de, one of the biggest German community pages for World of Warcraft. This is especially for the people who were familiar with German language, but nevertheless a reason to feature it in my blog.
There you can find some intereseting articles like a review on No:Point or an interview with Johan Vågstedt.

Have fun with reading it.

Finished

Max Payne Noir Undercity -Chapter 1 is finished.

Here are the sources:
Feel free to rate the movie on the streaming and download sources.

#Edit: I had requests for the song I produced for my own for this movie (the disco scene song). Unfortunately it's not available in a finished version but nevertherless some of you might be interested in a download source. It's released und GNU-licence :)

List of reviews to Max Payne Noir Undercity

Ahearn on www.sourceradio.com (no direct link so I had to copy this one)
'I am speechless. After watching the prologue back in October, I knew this series would be special but nothing like this. The time, effort, and experience that went into making this movie was impressive. It was like watching a movie or playing a game that had been done by professional game developers. The original soundtrack from Max Payne, mixed with adrenaline rushing action scenes, and a break dancing orc, this movie is definitely a must see. Keep a look out for the next installment from Varath.'

It's coming to an end

Yes it is!

I'm going to finish the first part of my Max Payne series this month. Plenty of rendering hours lying behind me and I'm really glad that it's almost done.

At the moment I'm working on the last 5 minutes of about 25 minutes total length. I'm really really looking forward to the release and the reaction of the people. I don't know if they will hate it or like it. But there's one thing I can say for sure: this movie is something special, by one means or another :)

Some last screenshots.

New Logo

While the progress on the VoC II screenplay is going on, I found some time to re-design our official logo. I made a HD-animation vid for our projects.

On top you can find a screenshot.

I'm also hard working on finishing Max Payne - Noir Undercity. I decided to make a trilogy, cause the whole original plot would end in an 90 minutes film. So episodes are a better and compact way to manage this problem. I hope I'll get finished end of winter or beginning of spring.

Veil of Corruption II - Production started

Some short news from our main project.
In January 2009 we've started the editing and compositing work on Veil of Corruption Chapter II.
Some of the first scenes and the logo artworks were already done and edited.

We'll keep you up to date the next weeks in this blog.

Below you find an exclusive Screenshot from the intro. An eye reflecting the background (done with a 3D Software with over 3 hours render time ;)). It's beautiful, isn't it :)
